"Purchased a GE Profile gas range 4 months back..."
I got myself a GE Profile gas range about 4 months ago. Just a week after it was set up, the electronics started acting up, and I couldn’t get the oven or broiler to work. After waiting 3 weeks for a replacement part, they swapped out the electronics board. Now, the oven has a habit of shutting off unexpectedly while I’m baking. Just last week, it turned off 6 times in half an hour! The store won’t replace it until they’ve tried fixing it a bunch of times. They really don’t seem to care that this has been a HUGE hassle for three months with no end in sight. Seriously, steer clear of any GE appliance that relies on WiFi. It’s a total nightmare.

"Purchased a GE Washer on 12-29-22 and..."
I got a GE Washer on 12-29-22, and it was delivered the next day. It failed to drain and spin right from the first load. I called GE service, but the earliest appointment was January 26th. When the technician arrived, he informed me that both the motor and computer were faulty and needed replacement. I expressed my frustration, explaining that this was a significant repair and I didn’t buy a refurbished unit; I wanted a brand new one. He mentioned he could fix it, but I had to reach out to GE Consumer Relations for a refund or a replacement. Those folks were pretty arrogant and told me they wouldn’t replace or refund my purchase. It seems like GE incentivizes their customer service to deny replacements or refunds. I might get it if the machine was six months old, but we didn’t even finish one load without issues. NO MORE GE APPLIANCES FOR US!

"Bought a GE Cafe Range"
I got myself a GE Cafe range. From the very first day, the oven just wouldn’t work. I reached out to the store where I made the purchase. They told me GE wouldn’t help at all, and when I tried calling customer service, no one picked up. So, I ended up contacting a local appliance repair guy. He discovered a wire that was improperly connected at the factory, and it took him just two minutes to fix it, costing me $190. The top burners? They took more than 15 minutes to get water boiling. Seriously. GE really doesn’t back up their products.

"AVOID CYNC BY GE LIGHT BULBS!"
Let me tell you, those so-called smart bulbs from CYNC BY GE are just plain awful! They hardly ever connect unless you keep your Bluetooth on all the time. They’re clearly marked as 'Bluetooth AND WiFi' and are supposed to work with Alexa, but that’s just not the case. I’m trying to save you some hassle here... these bulbs need constant rebooting, and you often end up with a bulb or server that’s unresponsive. In my experience, that means I have to get out of bed and head outside to flip the switch on my back deck at night. On those chilly Colorado winter evenings, it’s beyond frustrating! Plus, their 'support' team only works regular hours, so good luck if something goes wrong after hours, on weekends, or during holidays. That’s when mine always seem to fail, and trust me, it’s not a laughing matter! I’ve ended up using them as just really pricey regular bulbs—there’s nothing smart about them at all. Seriously, do yourself a favor and pay attention to the ratings and reviews before buying these. They just don’t function right, and the support is a total joke! And just to clarify, I’m not one of those people who’s hard to please; I love giving good reviews when they’re deserved. So, steer clear of CYNC BY GE, and I hope you all have a fantastic life!

"GE Monogram: High Price, Low Quality"
When I moved into my house, it came with GE Monogram appliances. Since they cost a pretty penny, I decided to get home warranty insurance for them. My refrigerator broke down, and the repair guy couldn't fix it, so I ended up getting a new one. Of course, the home warranty folks didn’t replace it with another Monogram, which goes for over $10k. Instead, I got an LG fridge that’s actually better and about a third of the cost. The Monogram's size was weird, so I had to modify the frame to fit the standard-sized LG. Then, the microwave gave out, and I got another Monogram through the warranty. Surprise, surprise, it was a different size too, so I had to tweak the frame again. This microwave costs $3,900 and broke after just two years, with GE saying it only has a one-year warranty. I could've bought a $100 microwave with a one-year warranty instead. Honestly, GE Monogram is just overpriced; don’t throw your cash away on it.

"Terrible experience and awful customer service"
What a nightmare! My dishwasher is practically brand new, and on the very first use, it starts leaking everywhere. The installer even recorded a video showing that the issue is from a faulty pump. I was instructed to set up a service call with an authorized GE repair technician. Three days later, the tech arrives with just a flashlight and no parts. He informs me that he needs to order the necessary parts, and it’ll take 7 to 10 days for them to arrive. To top it off, we’re on vacation in a newly remodeled home. I inquired about getting the parts expedited, and guess what? I was told, 'GE won’t do that.'

I’m done with GE appliances for good. The customer service is downright disrespectful. They come off as rude, condescending, and incredibly arrogant. I felt like a nuisance rather than a valued customer facing a serious issue. The response I got was basically, 'You’ll just have to wait, and the parts will come when they come.'

Take my advice: steer clear of GE. There are way better choices out there in the appliance market.

"Terrible Refrigerator Experience"
I bought a GE mainly for its color and size, but right after I got it, I attempted to return it to Home Depot the very next day, and they wouldn’t accept it. This thing hums louder than any fridge I’ve ever had. Every time I shut the fridge door, the freezer pops open, and when I called the service company, they told me GE won’t cover a service visit because that’s just how it is. What a worthless warranty! I’m just biding my time until it breaks down so I can finally get a good refrigerator. Watch out for this dreadful company.

"Avoid GE Products at All Costs"
Steer clear of GE products! Since about two weeks after I bought mine, I've been battling with this company to get them to stick to their warranty. Most of the phone representatives are pretty professional and know their stuff, but when you reach customer care, it's a whole different story—rude and condescending! One even had the nerve to suggest I watch videos to 'get a grip on the normal sounds a washer makes'! The technician who came out confirmed there was a problem and said he'd need to order parts. I swear, I’m never buying a GE product again, no matter what!

"Disappointing GE Washer Experience"
My run with General Electric washers has been a total letdown. Just two years in, my front load washer started leaking, and honestly, it’s super frustrating. It feels really unfair to all the folks out there, especially the elderly and disabled, who might be going through the same rough patch I did. First off, GE only offers a ONE YEAR WARRANTY on their machines, but in my case, after a year and a half, the washer began to leak. By that time, the warranty had expired, and my home warranty company wanted another $80 just to send a repairman out, who then said, 'Let’s just order a new washer.' It feels like a never-ending cycle of being taken advantage of. I’m really upset with this company for their equipment and warranty policies!

"GE Dishwasher Experience"
I bought a GE dishwasher back in January. By early September, it just quit on me, shutting off in the middle of a cycle. A technician has come out four times with various parts, but it’s still not functioning. GE won’t replace it yet; they say it has to be deemed 'not repairable' by the tech before they’ll even think about starting the evaluation. It’s been two months and four times I’ve had to take off work for these repairs. Seriously, steer clear of GE appliances; they just don’t have the support staff to back them up.

"GE swapped out a drink cooler under warranty..."
GE took care of replacing a drink cooler for me under warranty, but they didn’t fully reimburse me. They mentioned they wouldn’t cover the tax I paid, so I only got a partial refund, which was over $45 short. Shame on GE!

"My GE range hood, 7 years old, caught fire..."
My GE range hood, which I've had for 7 years, caught fire on its own while I was cooking and nearly set my entire kitchen ablaze. It's been over a month now, and GE hasn't done anything to fix it. I'm at a loss for where to voice my concerns besides GE's customer service, which seems to have zero regard for customer safety or satisfaction. This is a HUGE SAFETY concern, and I’m not sure where to report it. I reached out to the Consumer Products Safety Commission and the BBB, but nobody has followed up with me after I made my report. I'm honestly appalled by the level of service GE offers.

"The 1 1/2 stars rating is a mystery..."
The fact that they got 1 1/2 stars is a total head-scratcher. They deserve zero!!! I bought a window A/C unit back in June, and now it’s September, and it’s making a terrible racket. I called GE’s warranty service, and they told me I’d have to purchase another one. They wanted me to send in the receipt and serial number, then wait 1-2 weeks for a refund. There are two major issues here. First off, it’s their product that broke down, so why should we have to deal with this hassle? We didn’t do anything wrong. Secondly, there aren’t any A/C units available around here. They really don’t seem to care. Their suggestion? Just look online. What a joke. I’m done with them.

"Fridge Purchase Experience on July 8th"
I bought a refrigerator on July 8, 2022, and it arrived on July 27th. Just a week later, the fridge started making ice at the back. I reached out to GE, and they sent a repair guy who informed me that the fan was faulty and needed to be ordered. After waiting four weeks without any updates, I called them again. They finally came and swapped out the fan. But just two days later, things got worse. I contacted GE again, and as of today, September 23rd, I'm still waiting for a callback. I'm really frustrated; all my fruits and veggies are frozen solid in there. Seriously, steer clear of GE fridges. Their customer service is the worst!

"My experience with a new GE washer and dryer"
I got myself a brand new GE washer and dryer on July 4th, 2021. Just six months later, I had to get the latch replaced. Fast forward to today, August 30th, and I went to load up the dryer, only to discover that my washer won’t spin. I attempted to restart it, but it won’t fill up either. I’m really frustrated with this purchase since it’s broken twice in just over a year. Honestly, the repairs have nearly cost me as much as buying a new one. Not exactly a satisfied customer here.
